Ich mache blau .....

Wie in meinem letzten Post bereits angekündigt, ist nach meiner exzessiven Kleiderparade mein Bedarf an Kleidern erst einmal gedeckt und ich widme mich Einzelteilen. Den Auftakt macht heute ein Top in royalblau. Der Schnitt ist McCalls 6319 ... eigentlich ein kurzärmeliges Kleid. Aber ich habe es einfach als Top genäht und Ärmel drangebastelt. Hier sind also Fotos und die vorläufige Schnittmusterbesprechung:

Irgendwie sind die Fotos, die ich von diesem Top gemacht habe, alle nicht so toll geworden. Ich werde Tragefotos nachreichen. Und die werden dann hoffentlich besser .....

Beschreibung:

Kleid mit Gummizug in der Taille und drei Ausschnitt-Varianten. Ich habe View B genäht.

Größen:

amerikanische Größen 8 - 10 - 12 - 14. Ich habe Größe 8 genäht.

Sieht das genähte Kleidungsstück wie auf dem Foto bzw. wie die technische Zeichung aus?

Jein. Da ich einiges geändert habe - wohl eher nein. Andererseits ist der Ausschnitt das Markante an dem Schnitt und der sieht aus wie auf dem Foto.

War die Anleitung leicht zu verstehen?

Keine Ahnung, da ich wie immer überhaupt nicht hineingeschaut habe.

Was magst Du besonders bzw. überhaupt nicht an dem Schnittmuster?

Ich habe den Schnitt wegen des auffälligen Ausschnittes gekauft. Ich finde, das ist ein netter Hingucker an einem ansonsten eher schlichten Schnitt.

Verwendeter Stoff:

ca. 1m leuchtend-blauer Baumwoll-Jersey.

Änderungen an dem Schnittmuster oder am Design:

Zunächst einmal habe ich den Schnitt als Top und nicht als Kleid genäht. Dazu habe ich das obere Vorder- und Rückenteil verlängert (Mir scheint, dass es mir leider für meinen Geschmack ein wenig zu kurz geraten ist, aber das wird sich dann später bei der Anprobe zeigen). Außerdem habe ich Ärmel angefügt. Und zu guter Letzt, habe ich das Oberteil ungefüttert genäht und statt des Futters den Ausschnitt mit einem Beleg genäht.

Würdest du das Schnittmuster nochmals nähen? Würdest Du es anderen empfehlen?

Auch hier möchte ich lieber die finale Anprobe abwarten. Wenn mir das Oberteil sehr gut gefällt, könnte ich den Schnitt vielleicht noch einmal als Kleid nähen und anderen empfehlen.

Fazit:

Das Projekt war echt ein Quickie.Ich gehöre beim Nähen nicht gerade zur schnellen Sorte. Das Top war aber in wenigen Stunden genäht. Der Schnitt lässt sich schnell und einfach nähen, hat aber durch die Details am Ausschnitt das gewisse Extra. Ich denke, es ist eine gute Ergänzung zu der Armada an grauen Sachen aus meinem Kleiderschrank .....

As mentioned in my last post, my need for dresses is more than satisfied after my dress parade. Now, i'm sewing separates. And today i start with a new royal blue top. The pattern is McCalls 6319 ... which is actually a dress pattern. However, i've turned it into a top and addes long sleeves. Here are pictures and a preliminary patternreview:

Unfortunately, none of the taken pictures really shows the top very well. But i will show you pictures of me wearing the top somewhen later. And i hope these pictures will be better .....

Pattern Description:

Fitted dress with tapered skirt has lined bodice and elasticized waist and three different neckline variations.

Pattern Sizing:

8 - 10 - 12 - 14. I've made a size 8.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yes and no. Due to my changes, i would say that the garment doesn't look like on the photo. But i think the special detail about the dress is the neckline which looks like on the photo.

Were the instructions easy to follow?

I have no clue. As always i didn't looked at them.

What did you particularly like  or dislike about the pattern?

I've bought the pattern because of the interesting neckline. I think it's a nice design detail on an otherwise simple pattern.

about am of royalblue cotton jersey.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:

First of all, i've turned the pattern into a top. Therefore, i've lengthened the upper front piece and the upper back piece (It seems that i've made both pieces a little too short for my taste. But that will the final fitting show ..... ). Furthermore, i've added long sleeves. And finally, i've made this top unlined. Instead of the lining i've drafted a piece for the front and back neckline facing and sewed them onto the top

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

The answers to these two questions have to wait until the final fitting. If i like the top on me, i would maybe sew it again as a dress and would also recommend it to others.

Conclusion:

This was really i quick project. Even though i'm on the slow side when it comes to sewing i was able to finish it in acouple of hours. It was an easy and fast sewing project. But the neckline details makes it look elaborate. I think, due to its color it's a good addition to the army of gray garments in my closet .....
