Pretty in Pink

Ich bin inzwischen zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass ich das von mir hier genähte Top selber ganz abscheulich finde. Dem Schnitt wollte ich aber noch einmal eine Chance geben und habe ihn noch einmal genäht. Und siehe da .... in dieser Version gefällt mir das Top viel besser:

By now, i came to the conclusion that this top here is terrible due to a wrong fabric choice. But i wanted to give the pattern a second chance and made it again. Et voila ..... i like this second version so much better:

Ich gebe zu, die Farbe ist grell und gewöhnungsbedürftig (Es ist ein schönes knalliges, aber warmstichiges Pink). Aber sie passt gut zu den Grundfarben in meinem Kleiderschrank (schwarz, dunkelbraun und hellgrau). Und ein bißchen Farbe tut im Winter ja auch mal ganz gut.

I have to admit that the color is bright and you need to get used to it (It's a hot but warm pink). But it works well with my basic wardrobe colors (black, dark brown and lightgray). And a little pop of color improves your mood on a cold and dark winter day.

Leider hatte ich nicht mehr genug Stoff übrig und musste das Top statt langärmelig mit 3/4-Ärmeln nähen. Das ist aber auch okay, da ich wahrscheinlich meist eine kleines Strickjäckchen drüber ziehen werde. Ich denke, das Oberteil ist eine gute Ergänzung in meinem Kleiderschrank.

Und damit verabschiede ich mich bis zum nächsten Mal.

Unfortunately, i didn't had enough fabric left for the longsleeved version and made 3/4 sleeves instead. But that's okay for me. I will actually wear it with a cardigan so there is no need for long sleeves. I think this will be a nice addition to my closet.

Hallo, meine lieben Leser! Es scheint mir, zu viel Zeit tut mir und meinem Kaufverhalten nicht gut ;-) Beim Surfen bin ich über diesen Jersey gestolpert:

Um ehrlich zu sein, bin ich mir nicht sicher, warum ich bei diesem Stoff zuschlagen musste .... Ich fand ihn irgendwie altbacken. So häßlich, dass ich schon wieder gut fand ... Ich weiß, das macht keinen Sinn ..... aber naja, vielleicht waren ja auch die Hormone Schuld :-D

Und genäht habe ich daraus ein Top nach Burda 09-2007-101.

Beschreibung:

Schluppenbluse aus Jersey mit leichter Kräuselung am Ausschnitt und leicht ausgestellten Ärmeln.

Größen:

36-46. Ich habe die Bluse in Größe 36 genäht.

Sieht das genähte Kleidungsstück wie auf dem Foto bzw. wie die technische Zeichung aus?

Ja.

War die Anleitung leicht zu verstehen?

Ja.

Was magst Du besonders bzw. überhaupt nicht an dem Schnittmuster?

Momentan sind Schluppenblusen laut diverser Modemagazine ja wieder ganz groß im Kommen. Ich persönlich mag an ihnen, dass sie so vielseitig sind und sowohl solo als auch unter Cardigan oder Kleid gut aussehen. An diesem Modell gefällt mir besonders, dass es aus Jersey ist. Das ist einfach am bequemsten.

Verwendeter Stoff:

1m Viskose-Jersey.

Änderungen an dem Schnittmuster oder am Design:

Um die Bluse still-tauglich zu machen, habe ich eine Knopfleiste in der vorderen Mitte eingefügt. Dazu habe ich einfach das Vorderteil in der Mitte geteilt und an der vorderen Mitte jeweils ca. 5cm hinzugefügt für die Knopfleiste.

Würdest du das Schnittmuster nochmals nähen? Würdest Du es anderen empfehlen?

Ja und ja.

Fazit:

Der Schnitt ist echt schön. Allerdings muss ich gestehen, dass ich mir noch unsicher bin, ob ich die Bluse mag oder nicht. Das liegt allerdings in erster Linie am Muster des Stoffes. Vielleicht ist das Muster doch zu trutschig .... oder einfach nicht mein Stil ...... Mal abwarten, vielleicht muss ich mich auch einfach nur dran gewöhnen ....... wir werden sehen .....

Hello my dear readers! It seams that having too much time makes me shop like crazy ;-) During the last week, i've bought this jersey:

To be honest, i don't know why i've bought this fabric ..... I think it looks dowdy. It's so ugly that it's nice again .... i know that doesn't make any sense. Maybe i can blame it on the hormones :-D

And this is what i've made out of it: Burda 09-2007-101.

 

Pattern Description:

Long-sleeved top with a front tie.

Pattern Sizing:

36-46. I've made my usual size 36.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yes.

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Yes

What did you particularly like  or dislike about the pattern?

If you believe several fashion magazines, front tie blouses are one of the big fall trends. I personally like them because they are so versatile. You can wear them solo or under a cardigan or dress. I like this pattern in particular because it's made of jersey. That's simply one of the most comfortable fabrics for tops.

Fabric Used:

1m rayon jersey.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:

To make this blouse breast feeding appropriate, i've added a button facing in the center front. Therefore, i've just split the front piece in the center front and added about 5cm on each side for the button facing.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

Yes and yes.

Conclusion: 

I like the pattern. But i have to admit that i don't know if i like the top or not. I think this is mostly due to the fabric - or more precisely, the fabric print. Maybe the print is too dowdy .... or simply not my style ..... Maybe i just need some time to get used to it ...... we will see .....
