Am Freitag hatte ich sturmfrei und habe mich mit meiner Nähmaschine eingeigelt ... und mich meiner Burberry-inspirierten Jacke gewidmet. Am Freitag habe ich den Stoff zugeschnitten und mit Vlieseline verstärkt sowie die notwendigen Änderungen am Schnitt vorgenommen ... und da es sich am Sonntag so schön beständig eingeregnet hat, hab ich dann gleich weitergemacht und die Jacke in einem Rutsch fertig genäht. Naja, nicht ganz fertig, aber so gut wie ......
On Friday, i had an evening on my own, so i spent the whole evening with my sewing machine ... and started with my Burberry inspired jacket. I've cut and interfaced the fabric on Friday and made some fitting changes ... and since it was raining the whole sunday, i've continued working on it and nearly finished it at one go. It is not totally finished, but it's not much left to do .....

Und das bleibt noch zu tun:
- Die Jacke muss noch gesäumt werden.
- Die drei fehlenden Knopflöcher mussen noch genäht werden und
- Die drei Knöpfe müssen noch angenäht werden
Ich bin zuversichtlich, dass ich das noch diese Woche schaffen werde ... und dann gibt es auch wie gewohnt Fotos von der Jacke mit Inhalt sowie die Schnittmusterbesprechung ..... aber so viel sei vorweggenommen, ich bin wirklich rundum zufrieden mit dem Schnitt!

- Sew the missing three buttonwholes and
- Attache the three buttons.
I'm optimistic that i can do that this week .... and then i will show you pictures of me wearing the jacket and write - as usual - a pattern review ... but i can say in advance that i'm really pleased with the pattern and the outcome!

What sort of sewing machine do you have? Was it difficult to sew through layers of thick material?

Der Stoff sieht ganz schön dick aus, dass war bestimmt nicht einfach zu nähen (besonders so Kleinkram, wie Gürtelschlaufen usw.).
Freue mich schon auf`s fertige Modell mit Inhalt!

Sehr schön! Ich wäre nicht darauf gekommen aus dem Schnitt eine Jacke zu machen, aber sie ist wirklich super.

Vielen Dank Euch allen. Leider bin ich bis jetzt noch nicht weitergekommen, aber sobald es Fortschritte gibt, halte ich Euch auf dem Laufenden.

@Karin: I have a Toyota FSR 21. I know that it is not the best sewing machine ever, but it is sufficeint for me. And it gets through thick fabrics as wool without problems. It only sews jeans very well.
