At the weekend i had a compulsive sense of order. First i've sorted and archived my patterns. Then i've started to clean up my closet. Ruhtlessly i've sorted out everything i don't wear. And there wasn't much left after my cleaning attack:
Nein, was ihr hier seht ist nicht meine komplette Garderobe, sondern nur meine Wintersachen. Meine Sommersachen überwintern immer in luftdichten Beuteln unterm Bett. Unten links in den Kartons könnt ihr übrigens meinen Wollvorrat bewundern .....
No, what you see isn't my complete warderobe but only my winter clothes. My summer clothes hibernate in airtight bags under my bed. Oh, and in boxes in the left lower corner you can see my yarn stash ....
Nach dem Kleiderschrank war mein Stoffvorrat dran .... Und die Moral von der Geschicht: Nachdem ich eine Bestandsaufnahme gemacht habe, war ich selber erschrocken, wie trist und grau meine komplette Garderobe ist. Und mein Vorrat an Stoffen ist nicht viel farbenfroher. Das muss sich ändern! Momentan haben es mir Rottöne (von Lachs über Hummer und Koralle bis hin zu Feuerrot) und leuchtendes Lila angetan. Kombinieren möchte ich das dann mit Sand/Beige, ganz hellem Grau, Weiß oder eben einfach nur Jeans. Meine nächsten Nähprojekte werden also farbenfroh!
Afterwards, i started to run through my stash .... And the lesson learned: After my inventory i was quite surprised how gray and colorless my warderobe is. Oh, and my stash isn't much better. That has to change! Right now, i'm into all shades of red (lobster, salmon, coral, fire engine red) und bright purple. And i want to combine it with beige/sand, light gray, white or jeans. So, my next sewing project will be more colorful!
Als erstes wird dieser lila Wollstoff zu einer Jacke verarbeitet .....
First, i will sew a jacket from this purple wool .....
Nicht wirklich farbenfroh aber dem langanhaltenden Winter und der Kälte geschuldet, werde ich mir dann aus diesem olivgrünen Fleece eine Jacke mit passendem Shirt nähen ....
Not really colorful, but due to the longlasting cold, i will sew a jacket from this olive fleece with the matching top ...
So, und dann wird es wieder farbenfroher und ich werde einen Trench und das passende Kleid in bordeaux-rot nähen. Der Stoff für den Trench ist der zweite von oben und der Kleiderstoff der dritte von oben. Durch den Blitz wirkt es auf dem Bild so, als würden die Rottöne sich beißen, dem ist in Wirklichkeit aber nicht so.....
Und now finally something more colorful .... afterwards i want to sew a trench coat and a matching dress in bordeaux. The fabric for the trench is the second from above and the fabric for the dress the third from above. Due to the flash it seems that the different shades of red don't match, but in reality they do .....

So, die Aufräumorgie war wirklich befreiend ... jetzt kann ich mich wieder voll und ganz dem Nähen widmen :-) Und im nächsten Post gibt es dann die Abschlussbilder von meinem Chloe inspirierten Ensemble ......
So, my cleaning attack was really liberating .... now i can focus on sewing again :-) And in the next post i will show you the final pictures of my Chloe inspired ensemble .....
