Ich bin heute nach Hause gekommen und seht, was Burda mir Schönes geschickt hat:
Das ist der Designer-Mantel von Orwell aus der Burda 09-2006. Man kann die Schnitte noch bis zu 2 Jahre nach Erscheinungsdatum nachbestellen (natürlich nur solange vorrätig). Dazu brauch man allerdings den Coupon aus dem Heft.
Ich muss hier mal ein dickes Lob an Burda aussprechen. Ich habe mich vorher telefonisch bei Burda erkundigt, ob der Schnitt noch da ist. Habe dann am Dienstag das Geld überwiesen und den Coupon losgeschickt. Und heute war das gute Stück schon da. Ein Super-Service!
Für den Winter stehen nun entweder der Orwell-Mantel oder Vogue 8307 (alias Armani Herbst/Winter 2005 Knock Off) zur Wahl. Übrigens hat Tany von Couture et Tricot beide Mäntel schon genäht.....hier und hier.....
Den Armani...ääähh...Vogue Mantel kann ich mir entweder in schwarz oder in knallrot vorstellen.....Bei dem Orwell Mantel bin ich unsicher, ob mir die Paspeln in Weiß nicht einen zu starken Kontrast darstellen. Ob der Schnitt aber wohl komplett in schwarz überhaupt wirkt? Was meint ihr? Naja, noch sind die Temperaturen hier zu Lande noch warm genug.....ich habe also noch ein bißchen Zeit, mir das alles in Ruhe durch den Kopf gehen zu lassen......

So, this is what i found in my mail when i came home today:
It's the coat pattern from Orwell from the BWOF 09-2006. You can order these patterns up to 2 years after their date of publication ( as long as they're in stock). BUT you need the coupon from the issue.
And I have to say: Burda has a great customer service. They are friendly and fast. I've called them on tuesday, to ask wether the pattern is still available....i've paid the money and send them the coupon. And today the pattern was in my mail.....
Now, so here are my choices for my coat for this year....either the Orwell coat or Vogue 8307 (alias the Armani Fall/Winter 2005 Knock Off). Tany from Couture et Tricot already made both of them.....here and here.....
I can picture the Armani...eerrhh...Vogue Coat either in black or fire engine red....about the Orwell coat....i'm undecided wether the white piping is a too strong contrast for me....but maybe the design wouldn't work out so well with everything in black. What do you think?
So fortunately, it's still warm outside and i have some time to decide....and to sew.....

Mmhh... mir fallen da spontan Lederpaspel ein. Dann wäre es zwar Ton in Ton, aber durch den Materialunterschied fällt es trotzdem auf ;-)

Und mir noch Satinpaspel, oder wenn Du es doch farblich etwas absetzen willst, würde ich eher zu einem Creme raten. Das wirkt in Verbindung mit Schwarz immer edel und ist nicht ganz so hart, wie Weiss.

Vielen Dank für den Rat. Ich tendiere momemntan auch eher zu dem Orwell Mantel. Der Tipp mit den Lederpaspeln ist ganz guten. Dankeschön!
I'd kill for that pattern! Living in Portugal there was no way I could order it do I drafted my own pattern from another Burda coat... This was the project that started off my blog! It's my dream coat!
Tany, I can't believe that you drafted this pattern on your own. It's amazing! And your coat turned out so phantastic. If mine will be half as good as yours then i will be glad!
