So, als nächstes Projekt habe ich den Rock Sidonie in der Variation No. 2 von Burdastyle auserkoren. Der Stoff ist ein Anzug- und Kostümstoff, den ich bei Karstadt für sagenhafte 1,50 € vom Restetisch erworben habe. Die Farbe ist braun mit einem Stich ins Gräuliche.
Das Schnittmuster sieht vor, dass die unteren Seitenteile bereits aus einem plissierten Material zugeschnitten werden. Ich habe daher zunächst Zeitungspapier in Falten gelegt und das Seitenteil dann auf das gefaltete Papier kopiert. Dann habe ich das Zeitungspapier entfaltet und auf den Stoff übertragen.
Dann geht es ans Bügeln. Die fertigen Vorderteile sehen dann so wie auf dem Bild unten aus. Die nächsten Tage kann ich mich also ans Nähen machen.....
My next project is the Sidonie pattern from Burdastyle in the variation no. 2. The fabric i've chosen is a suit fabric wich i've bought for incredible 1,50 € from the disount table. The color is brown with a shade of gray.
Due to the instructions, the side area needs to be made from pleated material. So i've pleated a newspaper sheet, copied the pattern pieces to the pleated sheet and then copied the unfold sheet to the fabric.
Then you need to iron the pleats into the fabric. The finished front looks like shown in the pic below. Now i can start in the next few days with sewing....
