Karen Cardigan von Burdastyle. - Part II

(English)

Beschreibung:

Was magst Du besonders bzw.

Verwendeter Stoff:
2m Strickstoff in beige.

Änderungen an dem Schnittmuster oder am Design:
Keine.

Pattern Description:
Perfect for Autumn days we’ve created a cardigan with a flowing, extended lapel which will cascade over your favorite Fall pieces. This cardigan has 2 button holes at the side seams to lead a belt through for cinching the waist or to create a variety of interesting silhouettes. You can make this piece from slightly slouchy knits like cashmere, wool or a cotton/rayon blend. (original text from burdastyle.com)

Pattern Sizing:
34-46. I've made a size 34.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, i think so.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, very easy.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like how the front pieces drape and cascade. But i'm not sure if this wide and not fitted top is the right thing for my body shape. But it's very, very comfy indeed.

Fabric Used:
2m knit fabric in a golden beige.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
None.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would recommend it, if you like this style for you. It's much better then the Cozy i've already made. But i'm not sure if i would sew it again.

Conclusion:
Quick and easy to sew and comfortable to wear. But i'm not sure if i like it on me. Maybe i should combine it with more fitted clothes and not with my usual jeans.

Every now and then i need a quick and easy project to preserve my mojo. So i've decided to make the Karen Cardigan from Burdastyle next. I think the technical drawing is promising. The front pieces are draping so much nicer then on the Cozy i've sewn before and also the sleeve solution looks better. The sleeves on my cozy always slip down my shoulders which is why i don't like to wear it :-(

New game, new luck!

And this is my fabric: A beige knit with a slight golden shimmer.
