Pink Passion IV

Rock mit Falten, hochgeschnitten.

Größen:
34-42 ( Ich habe den Rock in Größe 34 genäht)

Sieht das genähte Kleidungsstück wie auf dem Foto bzw. wie die technische Zeichung aus?
Ja.

War die Anleitung leicht zu verstehen?
Ich behaupte jetzt einfach mal ... ja. Ich habe mal wieder frei Schnauze genäht ... und da der Rock aus nur zwei Teilen besteht, kann da eigentlich nicht viel schief gehen....

Was magst Du besonder bzw. überhaupt nicht an dem Schnittmuster?
Ich mag insbesondere die Falten und dass der Roch hoch geschnitten ist. Das zaubert einen wunderschön flachen Bauch ;-)

Verwendeter Stoff:
Stoff aus dem Hugo Boss Stoffverkauf in Metzingen, die genaue Zusammensetzung kenne ich leider nicht.

Änderungen an dem Schnittmuster oder am Design:
Ich habe ich den Tüll-Unterrock weggelassen, aber das war's auch schon.

Würdest du das Schnittmuster nochmals nähen? Würdest Du es anderen empfehlen?
Ja und ja. Das war echt so ein Projekt zuschneiden-nähen-fertig! Der Rock hat ohne Änderungen gepasst, war super einfach zu nähen und sieht doch nach "mehr" aus.

Fazit:
Ich hatte erst so meine Bedenken, da ich mich so an den hüftigen Sitz von Sachen gewöhnt habe, aber gerade der hohe Schnitt gefällt mir besonders gut. Und die kleinen Falten geben dem Rock den notwendigen Pepp. Ich - für meinen Teil - kann diesen Schnitt nur empfehlen!

Pattern Sizing:
34-42 (i made a size 34).

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
I think yes. Again ... is just sewed it .... there are only two pattern pieces, so there isn't much that can go wrong, isn't it?

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I especially like the pleats and the high waist. It makes your belly look instantly slim ;-)

Fabric Used:
Fabric from the Hugo Boss Factory outlet, maybe some cotton woven?

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
No changes at all - except that i didn't made the tulle underskirt.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. It really was a straighforward project. Cutting-sewing-done! The fitting was great, i didn't need to change a thing. An easy project that doesn't look "simple".

Conclusion:
First, i was afraid that i wouldn't like the high waist because you get so used to the low-cut style over the time. But now, that's the thing that i like the most. And all the pleats make this skirt special. I really can recommend this pattern!

Pink Passion III

Wie ihr seht, hat meine Serie in Pink die finale Phase erreicht. Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden. Insbesondere die Falten von dem Rock und die Drapierungen am Oberteil gefallen mir sehr. Leider kommen Farbe und Glanz des Stoffes auf den Fotos nicht so gut rüber ... aber in natura sieht das Ganze wirklich sehr edel aus.

Was bleibt also noch zu tun? Wie ihr unten auf dem Foto seht müssen noch ein paar letzte Falten ausgebügelt werden .... aber dann ist es vollbracht. Die ausführliche Schnittmusterbesprechung kommt also in den nächsten Tagen ...


As you can see on the pictures above ... my pink passion project has reached its final phase. I am totally happy with the result. I especially like the pleats from the skirt and the draping from the top. Unfortenately you can't see the silky texture of the fabric on the pictures .... it really looks very precious.

So what's left to do? I have to eliminate some final wrinkles at the armscye (as you can see on the pic below) ... but then i am done. I will give you the final pattern review in the next few days ...

Pink Passion - Part II

In klitzekleinen Trippelschritten mache ich Fortschritte bei meinem rosa Ensemble ... hier also ein kleiner Vorgeschmack, wie das gute Stück aussehen wird:

In small little steps, I made some progress on my pink ensemble .... Here is a sneak peek on the current status:


Der Rock ist komplett unterfüttert und ich kann jetzt schon sagen, dass er eines meiner neuen Lieblingsstücke werden wird. Nach den ganzen tief sitzenden Jeans, Hosen und Röcke der letzten Jahre, mag ich insbesondere, dass er hoch geschnitten ist. Also Bauch-weg Effekt integriert ;-) Das Top ist ungefüttert, dafür habe ich aber das obere Vorderteil gedoppelt, damit nichts durchscheint.

The skirt is fully lined and i love it so far. After a lot of low-cut jeans, pants and skirts in the past, i love the higher waist of the skirt. Makes you loose weight in a few seconds ;-) The top is unlined, but i've doubled the upper front piece sucht that it isn't see-through.

Das bleibt also noch zu tun:

• Säumen des Unterrocks
• Säumen des Rocks
• Reißverschluss einnähen
• Schließen der Schulternaht
• Säumen des Oberteils

und vielleicht bin ich damit ja bis nächste Woche fertig und das Wetter ist dann immer noch so schön warm und sonnig (Toi Toi Toi), so dass ich beides dann auch schon zum ersten Mal tragen kann.

So, this is what's left to do:

• sew the seam of the lining of the skirt
• handstitch the seam of the skirt
• sew in the zipper of the top
• close the shoulder seam
• handstitch the seam of the top (btw the top is way too long right now)
  

and hopefully next week i'm done, the weather is still that warm and sunny as it is right now (knock on wood) and i can wear my new garments for the first time.

Pink Passion

Die Sonne scheint und ich brauche dringend neue Anziehsachen für den Sommer. Dies sind also meine nächsten Projekte: Ein Top nach Burda 11-2007-109 und dazu passend einen Rock nach Burda 02-2008-118.

The sun is shining and i really need new clothes for summer. So here are my next sewing projects: A top using BWOF 11-2007-109 and a skirt using BWOF 02-2208-118.

Das Kleid aus der Burda 11-2007 ist mir damals schon direkt aufgefallen. Ich bin jedoch nie dazu gekommen, es tatsächlich zu nähen. Insbesondere die Drapierungen finde ich toll. Jetzt nähe ich es also als Top. Ich versuche momentan meine Garderobe möglichst vielseitig zu gestalten. Und so kann ich das Top passend zu dem Rock oder einfach zu einer weißen Hose anziehen ....

I loved the dress from the BWOF 11-2007 at first sight, but never had the time to sew it. I especially like the draping. So now i'm going to make it as a top. It's because i want my closet to be more versatile and i can wear the top with white pants as well as with the skirt....

Und dieses feine Stöffchen soll es werden. Es ist ein zartrosa Stoff, den ich in Metzingen bei dem Hugo Boss Fabrikverkauf erstanden habe. Er ist ganz zart und luftig und hat einen Seidenschimmer.

And this is the fabric i have choosen. I've bought it at the Hugo Boss factory outlet in Metzingen. It's a light pink, lightweight fabric with a silky shine on it.
