Ooops.....I did it again

Ja, ich hab's schon wieder getan....und zwar Burda 09-2006-103. Dieses Mal habe ich Sweatshirt-Stoff verwendet. Das Ergebnis: eine unglaublich kuschelige und gemütliche Jacke!

Yes, I did it again.....BWOF 09-2006-103. This time I've used Sweatshirt fabric. The result is a totally warm and comfortable jacket!

Da das Schnittmuster eigentlich als Mantel gedacht ist und für dicke Winterpullis daher weiter geschnitten ist, musste ich einiges an Weite herausnehmen. Außerdem habe ich den Kragen ein wenig verkleinert, damit er nicht zu wuchtig wirkt.

Originally this is a coat pattern. Therefore it has some space added for warm winter clothes underneath. So I've took some width out. Furthermore I've made the collar a bit smaller such that it doesn't look too big for this jacket.

Wie man sieht, sieht man nix....tja, inzwischen werden die Tage wieder kürzer und da ist es gar nicht so einfach, anständige Fotos zu machen - vor allem von schwarzen Kleidungsstücken :-( Ich werde versuchen, am Wochenende bei Tageslicht bessere Fotos zu machen....

It's hard to see anything on these pictures....unfortenately, the days are getting shorter and daylight is getting rare. So it's not easy to take good pictures - especially from black garments :-( I will try to take better pics at the weekend.....

So, nach langer Zeit hier also mal wieder ein fertiges Kleidungsstück.... Modell 103 aus der Burda 09/2006

Beschreibung:

Sieht das genähte Kleidungsstück wie auf dem Foto bzw. wie die technische Zeichung aus?
Abgesehen von den vorgenommenen Änderungen -- ja.

War die Anleitung leicht zu verstehen?
äh....ich habe keine Ahnung....ich hab einfach so drauf losgenäht, wie es mir am Sinnvollsten erschien und keinen Blick in die Anleitung geworfen....

Was magst Du besonder bzw. überhaupt nicht an dem Schnittmuster?
Ich mag den Stil und Schnitt der Jacke, die Details machen den Mantel besonders und die Passform ist einfach perfekt.

Verwendeter Stoff:
1,5m Fischgrat-Tweed.

Änderungen an dem Schnittmuster oder am Design:
Ich habe aus dem Mantel eine Kurzjacke mit 3/4 Ärmeln gemacht. Ansonsten waren keine Änderungen notwendig.

Würdest du das Schnittmuster nochmals nähen? Würdest Du es anderen empfehlen?
Ja und ja.

Fazit:
Ein super Schnitt. Ich bin mit dem Ergebnis rund um zufrieden. Die Jacke sitzt einfach perfekt und das ohne auch nur eine einzige Änderung am Schnittmuster!

Pattern Description:

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Except the design changes i made -- yes.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
i....don't...know. I just started sewing and didn't look at the instructions at all....

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the style and cut of the pattern and love all the details like front yoke and epaulettes. Additionally, the fitting of this coat is just great.

Design changes:
I made a short jacket instead of a long coat and also made 3/4 sleeves with sleeve belts. Furthemore, no changes neccessary.

Fabric Used:
1,5m fischbone tweed

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes.

Conclusion:
A great pattern. I love the style and the fitting is just great.

Fischgrat-Jacke

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich in irgendeiner Frauenzeitschrift ein Bild von Sarah Michelle Gellar alias Buffy gesehen. Sie trug eine Jacke aus Tweed. Ich habe mich sofort in diese Jacke verliebt. Die Jacke war eine Kurzjacke aus Fischgrat-Tweed, im Trench-Stil und hatte Ärmel bis zum Ellenbogen. Also habe ich mich ans Werk gemacht. Frei nach dem Motto gut-kopiert-ist-halb-gewonnen. Als Schnittmuster habe den Mantel 103 aus der Burda 09/2006 benutzt. Hier sind also erste Ergebnisse und ich muss sagen, dass ich bis jetzt total begeistert bin. Die Jacke ist genau mein Stil und der Schnitt sitzt einfach einwandfrei. An die Ärmel müssen noch Riegel dran (oder wie auch immer man diese Dinger nennt) und dann gehts auch schon ans Füttern.

Some time ago i saw a picture of Sarah Michelle Gellar alias Buffy in a magazine. She wore a tweed jacket that i instantly fell in love with. It was a short jacket in a fishbone tweed, with short sleeves and in a trench-style. So i started my Buffy knock off. As the pattern i've used BWOF 09-2006-103 . So here are first results. I'm loving it so far. It's totally my style and the fitting is great. I only need to add the sleeve belts and then i can start with the lining.
