Der Sonntag hat uns mit strahlend blauem Himmel beglückt und Sonnenschein auf goldgelben Bättern .... Zeit also, das neue Kostümchen spazieren zu führen ....

Beschreibung:
Die kurze, leicht taillierte Jacke aus Wollvelours hält auch im Herbst schön warm. Der Doppelreiher besticht mit echten Hornknöpfen und breitem Schalkragen.

Größen:
36-42. Ich habe den Schnitt in 36 genäht, muss aber wohl irgendetwas beim Vermessen oder Zuschneiden vermasselt haben, denn die Jacke ist irgendwie zu klein geraten. Als Notlösung habe ich die Jacke dann als einreihig-geknöpfte Jacke genäht, um ein paar Zentimeter Weite hinzu zu schummeln.

Sieht das genähte Kleidungsstück wie auf dem Foto bzw. wie die technische Zeichung aus?
Ja, beinahe (wie oben beschrieben).

War die Anleitung leicht zu verstehen?
Wie immer, habe ich überhaupt nicht reingeschaut.

Was magst Du besonders bzw. überhaupt nicht an dem Schnittmuster?
Besonders angetan hat es mir der Kragen und die 3/4 Ärmel.

Verwendeter Stoff:
ca. 3m Stretch-Wolltweed von Strenesse über Alfatex, ca. 1.5m dunkelbraunes Stretchfutter

Änderungen an dem Schnittmuster oder am Design:
Siehe oben.

Würdest du das Schnittmuster nochmals nähen? Würdest Du es anderen empfehlen?
Ja und ja. Ich bin super zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis und der Schnitt ist wirklich sehr schön.

Fazit:
Ich bin rundum glücklich mit meinem neuen Outfit. Ich denke, ich werde es sehr viel tragen - sowohl in der Kombination als auch als Einzelstücke.

Pattern Description:
This short, slightly fitted, double-breasted jacket of wool velour will keep you nice and warm this autumn/fall. Genuine horn buttons, 3/4-sleeves and a wide shawl collar makes it most appealing

Pattern Sizing:
36-42. I've made a size 36. But somehow i must have made a mistake when tracing and the jacket turned out too small. My emergency solution was to turn it into a single-breasted jacket (which helped a little bit).

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Nearly, yes (as written above).

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Didn't looked at them.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the collar and the 3/4 sleeves and the ladylike style of it.

Fabric Used:
ca. 3m wollen tweed and ca. 2m stretch lining.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. I love the result and it is a nice and beautiful pattern.

Conclusion:
I love my new outfit. I will wear it a lot - in combination as well as separately.

Momentan häufen sich hier im Hause Sew Be Do die UFOs ... Zeit, dagegen anzukämpfen!

Nach Ewigkeiten bin ich endlich dazu gekommen, meine Burberry-inspirierte Jacke fertig zu stellen. Viel war ja nicht mehr zu tun ..... Was jetzt wirklich nur noch fehlt, ist die passende Gürtelschnalle. Da bin ich einfach noch nicht fündig geworden. Fotos und Schnittmusterbesprechung folgen dann am Wochenende.

Meine Donna Karan-Jacke wartet auch nur noch auf letzte Handgriffe. Ich muss noch das Futter ein- sowie die fehlenden zwei Druckknöpfe annähen. Und dann ist auch diese Jacke fertig.

At the moment, i'm producing UFOs like crazy ... time to fight against it!

It took me nearly forever, to finish my Burberry-inspired jacket. Even though there wasn't really much to do .... What is missing actually is the right belt buckle. I just didn't find one yet. Pictures and pattern review will follow at the weekend.

My Donna Karan jacket is waiting for it's finishing touches, too. I just have to sew in the lining and attach the two missing snaps. And it is done as well.

Zeit also, sich neuen Projekten zu widmen. Lol. Als nächstes auf meiner Liste ist also ein Ensemble aus der September-Burda von 2009: Jacke 127 und der passende Rock dazu (Nummer weiß ich gerade nicht). Ist die Kombi nicht wunderbar elegant und ladylike!

So, it's time to think about my next project. Lol. I'm going to make the following ensemble from the Burda september issue from 2009: Jacket 127 and the matching skirt (don't know the pattern number right now). Love it, it's so elegant and ladylike!

Und genäht wird das Ganze aus diesem Stretch-Wolltweed von Strenesse (die Farbe ist eher so wie oben auf dem Bild). Und wenn sich nicht wieder irgendetwas dazwischen mogelt, soll noch ein passendes Blüschen aus dem wunderbar goldgelben Seidenstoff aus meinem Stoffvorrat entstehen.

I will sew it from this stretch wool tweed from Strenesse (the color is more like on the picture above). And if no other project is queue-jumping, i will make a matching blouse from that beautiful golden silk fabric that i have in my stash.

Mal schauen, ob ich das alles so in der Zeit hinbekomme. Denn in drei Wochen geht es in den Urlaub und was wäre ein anständiger Urlaub ohne in letzter Minute Selbstgenähtes!?

So, we will see if i can manage to all that. Because in three weeks we're going on vacation. And there are no decent vacations without last-minute sewing!
